OBCD Open Business for Community Development

OBCD is a European project that has been created by the European Commission. Led by University of Patras and supported by 12 other organisations across Europe, the project aims at fostering innovation in Higher Education (HE), Continuing Vocational Education and Training (c-VET), enterprises and the broader socioeconomic environment.

The Open Business (OB) is an approach to enterprise built on the concept of ‘openness’ movements such as free software, open source, open content and open tools and standards. The OBCD project promotes the sustainable growth of socialenterprises (SEs) by applying Open Business models, designing and testing targeted new curricula for SE professionals.
